You can sue anybody for anything. Proving your case to the Judge or Jury will be the the hard part. The costs for filing the suit could be a few hundred dollars at least. A lawyer would take a case like that on contingency basis, and you'd pay the lawyer at settlement. Some lawyers may reject your case, it's not always easy to prove intentional negligence. You can see 10 doctors and go the the hospital for 3 months, that does not automatically make the landlord or anybody else at fault.

Your question and subsequent sentence did not say much and certainly mentioned nothing about what type and how for the negligence... Yes, you can bring a lawsuit against a landlord or owner.. BUT who/what caused the negligence?

You can file a claim for a "tort" injury because under the law the owner of the property is responsible for keeping the property safe for anyone who is injured unless your lease says you assume the responsibility for the safety of the property under your control. If you are in an apartment complex then the owners of the complex are responsible.

Sounds like it's time to lawyer up! Do you have documented proof that you asked the landlord to fix this problem? Any pictures of your injuries and the broken whatever that caused them? Your landlord can probably hire a better lawyer than you so make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

If you have money, you can suit anybody!!! since you don't expain how you got hurt, you cannot claim it was negligence on the part of the owners. You are stating you part. Did you break a leg? an arm? The waist?

Yes. Take photos of any evidence to support your case, just incase the landlord fixes the fault before the court case.
