Shopping for clothes? It depends. The Fashion Show Mall is awesome (has all the higher end stores) and then there's also Buffalo Exchange which also has some cool retro stuff too but it's "recycled" so if that is weird to you don't go there.

The only outlet stores worth visiting are the ones near the Spaghetti Bowl (near the I-15 and I-95 interchange).

There is a factory outlet mall right off the strip , it's great , locals&tourist las vegas outlet mall off Las Vegas Blvd and Warm Springs!
Actually the biggest mall in town is the Boulevard Mall. Not too far of the strip maybe 10 min depending on where your staying .
The Fashion Show Mall ($$$$) would have to be the nicest mall in town & that's also off the strip across the street from the WYNN hotel..

The Factory Outlet stores that are south on Las Vegas Blvd (aka The Strip), on the south side of Warm Springs Road. I usually spend about $200 and have to make a couple trips back to the car with bags.

If you want to be bombard by tourists, yeah, sure, go to Fashion Show. But Las Vegas has better malls/outlet than that.

First, there is Las Vegas Factory Outlets (Formly known as Beltz) located on the south end of the Strip.
Then, there is Las Vegas Premium Outlet Center, located on Charleston, more north end
The LARGEST Mall in Las Vegas is the Boulevard Mall. It's located in the east side of the city.
Then there is the Galleria Mall, located in Henderson. It's a nice, two story mall, where Lots of locals shop
Last MALL I can think of the Meadow Mall.. Its on the North west side of Las Vegs.

Besides these, there are plenty of shopping center, namly Bocca Park in Summerlin.

Take it from a Local.. you probably want to stay away from the strip of shopping... however, if you want more glitz for you glam... the shopping centers on the strip include: The Forum Shops at Cesaers Palace, The Dessert Passage at Aladdin(soon to be Planet Hollywood) and of course, the Fashion Show Mall.

you don't desire to employ a automobile. the basically reason to employ a automobile is in case you had to bypass to someplace like Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon. in case you basically plan to stay around the strip section, do not problem with a automobile. most of the strip is walkable. that is slightly bit a hike to bypass one end to the different. there's a monorail that runs up and down the strip that expenses a pair $ in holding with journey/individual (i imagine $5?). there's a loose monorail that runs from the Excalibur to Mandalay Bay. Excalibur is through the line from MGM, you may seize the monorail on the MGM. Taxi's are the predominate autos on the line, you will get very just about everywhere in Las Vegas on a $10 taxi journey. the problem with taxi's is the strains on the taxi stands might want to be lengthy, you may in all probability walk the position you want to bypass in the time it takes to easily get a taxi. city buses are an decision too. yet another tip, do no longer purchase prepare tickets in enhance except there's a prepare you surely ought to make certain at the same time as your there. you may purchase discounted prepare tickets from a range of of fee ticket cubicles on the strip, for below you will see that on-line. The busy time on the strip is Friday and Saturday nights, something else of week that is a lot more desirable person-pleasant to get a cab and so on.. Lot's of folk are available only for the weekend.

Fashion Show Mall. There are a couple outlets like at Primm NV, but they're not any better than Fashion Show. Fashion Show Mall either has the most stores or biggest square feet of mall in the U.S. (It's one of those, but I can't remember which one).

Leave Vegas! Run now, fast as you can! It will eat you alive....

Born and raised there, it's hell. The factory outlets on LV Blvd are pretty busy, but places like Kohl's, etc are better. But do try the Bootlegger restaurant next to the factory outlets!
