2. Exar Kun was the first Dark Lord of the Sith.

3. Darth Bane was the first Sith Lord to use a double-bladed lightsaber.

4. Sith Lords use synthetic crystals instead of hunting down crystals of their own. The synthetic crystals produce red or bronze blades. Jedi have to find a crystal to construct their lightsabers as part of their transition from padawan to Jedi Knight. Natural crystals produce almost any color (including red).

Orange, silver, pink, white, gold, and viridian typically do not represent either side. However, the Expanded Universe establishes no direct relationship between a lightsaber's blade's color and its user's affiliation. For example, the Dark Jedi Sariss used a blue lightsaber while her erstwhile ally Yun used a yellow blade. Both are from the computer game Jedi Knight. Leia Organa Solo (a Jedi) uses a red blade, dispelling any notions that the colours dictate alignment.
