You have to call a pest control company... Most states now have rules against personal "disposal" of pests. Buying a trap would be to expensive for a one shot...

Groundhogs usually have an entrance and an exit. If you can find both, plug one up, then go to the other and pour a mixture of ammonia and bleach down the hole as far as it will go, then plug that hole. He'll die in the hole and you won't have to dispose of him. About a half a quart of each and be careful not to breathe the fumes because they are poisonous.

You might try leaving a radio on in the shed. If the raccoon gets into the shed and changes the station to something it likes better, you might have to go to plan B, lots of mothballs (or flakes). The radio is cheaper.

Depend is you want to kill it, trap it, or repel. If to kill, try poison, if to trap, buy a live trap from your local pet or ranch supply. to repel try road flairs. Light them off and shove in then hole then cover the hole with a piece of wood, sealing around the edges with dirt. Be careful to keep away from any flamable surface as you do not want to start a fire. Or I hear that the anti-static cling things you place in the clothes dryer work well, wad up 4-5 of these and place down the hole.

Try you local exterminator. That way you stay legal. If you try to shoot it you may end up in jail for cruelty to animals. You can call your local gun shop too. He may know of a sportsman that would be willing to trap it for you. They have traps so that you can catch them in a cage without killing them, then just take it into the country. Do something before they start to breed.

Find the hole it uses. take broken Glass(bottles) and cram them into the hole. Just keep it up they will find a better place to live.
