Why do spell checkers allow people with poor spelling to add misspelled words to them?
Why is the word BIG so small and the word INFINITESIMAL so big?
Why can't you abbreviate the word abbreviate?
These and other questions are why people in other countries hate learning english.

I dont know but have often wonderd as I am dislexic my self and have only gained confidence in writting letters since I have learnt to use a computer.

I agree - as if it isn't difficult enough having it - very ironic that it isn't easy to spell.
But - look on the bright side - in the bad old days it was though that if someone couldn't learn to spell they were lazy or just plain thick!

its hard to spell coz that the root of the word from latin dys meaning hard and lexia meaning word
whythey had to use latine is beyond me aftr all
latin i s a language as dead as dead can be it slowlt killed the romans and now its killing me (w churchhill )

No it isn't, and I'm dyslexic (as I type dyl- first!! lol)
A question to answer a question - do any dyslexics find that you even TYPE dyslexic, in addition to writing that way?
