You seem to be inquiring on a very important topic. and you sure are asking very deep questions. thak you for the challenge, ok, now my answer:
To passs from hate to love there is one necessary and imprescindible condition, one without which there can't be no succesful passage from one to the other:
This is FORGIVENESS!
When you forgive , you release the chain that kept you tied to the object of your hate, making you free to see that person or thing in its true nature and dimension. understanding then comes, letting you see that what you hated so much is not what you thought it was and that it was just an idea of what you thought it was but not reality itself, this step in itself involves love, because when you dare to forgive and let go you are loving!
Forgive, is the only way.
Ah, i feel inspired for the rest of the weeek with your questions that have made me think, thank you.

I think the way to overcome hate is to realize that you can't change other people, but you can change how you navigate around them. The only control you have in life is over how you act and react towards people. Being kind and empathetic even while you're feeling hate will change you and the people around you. Humans have the rare quality of being able to feel opposite emotions at the same time. Once you accept that, you don't have to feel guilty about hating, you just have to locate and use the love that exists along with it. And that leads to embracing love- love is the only thing that can make your life better. Loving the poeple around you and loving yourself, responding with love no matter what- these are the things that make your life good. And when people treat you hatefully, you have to remember that it's not because of your worth or value- it's because some one was hateful to them. They've not been taught that love makes you happy, and responding with love (under all circumstances) will help spread that universal truth.

Some say hate and love are part of the same emotional triggers. anxiety. jealousy. confusion. frustration.
When you love fully , the focus is on the positive, as hate is pure dark and negative. When you turn away from the wasted energy of hate, where no future growth can be obtained. you are you will be facing real love. Love is the Light side of emotional addiction. heart and soul . ... Hate is the black hole.where danger exists. and empty space, no Love. Which way do you want to go. Face creativity, dreams. and humor.giving. and there will be no time to Hate. eg

To be able to love, you have to stay for a while in an environment where is no hate at all. For example, a trip near a forest / lake. The nature is filled with love, and it will help you get past the hate if you embrace it.
You will learn to love your enemy, love your Friends, love another being, and the most important: love yourself. This is very important. Until you don`t love yourself you will not be able to love someone else.

(Lev 19:18) Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I [am] the LORD.
(Col 1:8) Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
(Col 3:19) Husbands, love [your] wives, and be not bitter against them.
(1Th 5:8) But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
(Jud 1:21) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Human existence is something rare in this entire world. The odds of you being born are 10 million to 1. Yes, we are some 6.5 billion inhabiting the small planet yet we do not know how to get along with each other. So we think by eliminating each other we can be alone again. So it is true we seek aloneness with self. We think of our selves as the only ones this is happing to in this life. And it is so simple to have peace with self and each other than to had discord and be angry all the time.
The answer is simply forget hate and remember... Love.
Love, love, love ** *** It's easy*****all you need.

Yea sure, there are those that think that if you Love you are weak. But what they do not understand is that hate is easer than loving others instead. Love is The Strongest of all emotions in human existence. Yea, people will hurt you but to return the hate is simply becoming what you do not inspire to be. Love is the Light. Hate is the darkness. In the light you can see. In the darkness you cannot see and confusion will set upon you. It will rule you and enslave you. In the Light it will set you free to be as your suppose to be. To replace hate with Love is a very possible thing. Jesus did it and God have never stopped loving mankind. The problem is it is taught in our schooling via our histories. Social behavior is based on our history and our history is violent full of hate. Restructure the History to reflect nonhate and it will reflect Love. Teach man war no more and he will not make war.
Be as a parent to the young and teach loving kindness before unkindness. It’s a full time job. God is a Father to us all. He is a parent. I do not know very many folks that do not love their kids even when they do wrong and try to correct their behavior. So it is with God. If you have guidance and inspiration you can accomplish anything. If you have a Father that is willing to give the guidance and correction and you heed it then you can accomplish it.

Personally, I have tried to overcome bitterness and feel like I have been successful. I do have very painful and valid reasons for struggling with hate.
Hate and bitterness has not consumed me...because I have an undying faith inside of me. I just always believe in a better day on the morrow. I believe that there are good people out there....
The answer to your question is hope and strong ideals: Faith.

If there were a concrete answer to this one, then we wouldn't be at war right now. The only thing that works for me is working through my emotions with the help of religion. Somehow the idea of a higher spirit watching down on me and the thought of having to explain and justify my actions for my own salvation is very humbling. It makes it easier to accept people that I hate for who they are, instead of judging them for not being as I expect them to.

In order to overcome hate, one must not only be open minded, and believe that we all as human beings are born good, but also know that praising the similarities are what unites all, and respecting the differences is the light that shines humanity.

why do we only acknowledge what we perceive as good? hate and anger are normal parts of the human psyche if you have love and happiness you must have hate and anger, life and death etc. life is compiled of many emotions, we can't eliminate the inconvenient ones that make you feel bad. it think acknowledgment is the first step in getting over something.
