I don't like either. Shaniqua sounds like a joke name and I don't know how to pronounce Amya or Mya. If Mya is pronounced mee-ya, why don't you spell it in a way so people know what it is when they see it written. The correct spelling is Mia.

Amya is way cute! Too many girls are names Shaniqua. What is Amya's middle name going to be? I think Amya Brielle (Which means exalted goddess) would be cute.

Amya is pretty, not Shaniqua though, a HR person said if he has a person app that has a name like that on it, he automatically think they have an atittude, and this was a black man..
