having been there the only advice i can give you is to be there but unless your friend truly wants to give up there is nothing you can do.they have to admit they have a problem and want to kick it and not just give you lip service or say what they think you want to hear.how closer a friend are you?will they take your advice or help.there are lots of good rehab pro grammes available and groups that can help you to understand what an addict goes through and the positive help you can give.it also depends what drugs they are addicted to.my friend lied, stole and cheated to get the funds for her addiction.in the end i had to harden my heart and threaten not to be there to pick up the pieces if she didn't go voluntary to find help.it took along time and put a huge strain on our friendship but to see her living a normal drug free life and be back to the person i first became friends with made it worth all the frustration and heartache we both went through.i have a great admiration for anyone dealing or helping a friend with an addiction as to see what she went through was painful .good luck

If I were you i would deffinately consider asking this persont out to dinner. Then a walk on the beach and a movie. End by going back to his place and having sex. after he falls asleep lock the door and board up the windows. He will not be able to get out, therefore ending his drug problem.

Thats a hard one because depending on how far gone your friend is there may be nothing you can do until he/she hits rock bottom and then be there for them.
A person with any addiction is not going to change until they see the problem and truely want help.

If they're not asking you for advice, then chances are they won't hear anything you tell them. I'ts something they'll have to want to change on their own. Just let them know that you do not approve of drugs and if they want to be around you, to please not be on drugs when they are. And don't ever loan them any money if they ask.

Drug abuse opens an enormous door to demon problems. In fact, the original bible terms for spiritism and druggery are identical.

I suggest if you really care for your friend do not encourage his drug abuse in ANY WAY! If necessary you may need to inform family members or other friends to help out. You wouldn't want that person to die or hurt themselves because of drug abuse. And because you know about it and your their friend you should do whatever is needed to help them stop. Never embarrass them or hurt their feelings though.
