He is happy, confident, not some fake public-opinion front, doesnt use drugs, and doesnt think others should use mind-altering drugs to "cure" their problems. Thats plenty of reason for everyone to pick apart whatever method he used to get there. It wouldnt matter what he said. Even if he said christianity, or psychotherapy, or being struck by lightning, or a firm belief in answers.yahoo.com the public would shred him the same way.

He's a good actor and all, but I don't like the whole scientology thing, it's not a very good mode of thinking, and he's a little coo
coo, I mean it's just the way that he shuts Katie up in the house all day and treats her more like a possesion or a prisoner, then the love of his life and no woman deserves that. Would u shut ur woman up in the house all day, not ever talking to people that are her friends cuz u sid she couldn't for some odd reason??

I wouldn't go so far as to say he's nuts, but he's really f*cking annoying. Where the hell does he get off telling Brooke Shields how to handle her depression? It's her own damn problem, she can handle it herself, and scientology be damned. Also, the way he talks about Katie Holmes really gets on my nerves; I mean, good Christ, she has a mouth and half a brain, she should bloody well be able to speak for herself. He's not her f*cking publicist. And besides, she looks MISERABLE in pictures with him; well, the most recent ones, anyway.
Sorry about the rant, but I'm NOT a fan of Tom Cruise.

I don't think he's nuts, I do think he's an idiot, cuz he's been in the business for a long time & he should know better not to involve his personal life into his business life! People will judge how he behaves off camera more than on camera. Its fine to be happy, esp. if you're in love, but he went over board... opening himself up to tabloid fodder & sure enough that's exactly what happened. Everyone & their dog is now hounding him to see more of his personal life esp. if its over the top... it sells more magazines! He's a smart guy, he should have known better. You get what you give in the acting industry & he's given nutty performances all in the name of love? & his stature as a high paid actor. But actors loose their luster & he's just discovering this now as he gets older & oddly enough, less wise.

hmm.. i've thought of that same question too.. but i didn't really think of tom as.. an idiotic psycho. but yea.. he's hot, intellectual and a talented actor.. not to mention that he gets paid really well for what he does.. anyhow celebrities shouldn't put their relationship out in the open and for what he did on oprah.. i admit it was pretty darn silly.. anyway, i don't hate him because i don't even freakin know him. ahaha... other than that.. the media will make up poor judgments about tom.. including his beliefs in scientology.. and they're just cracking jokes about him as if he's the next michael jackson.. aw poor tom.

1. He is so hott
2. Scientology is great
3. He is a fantastic actor
4. Brokeback mountain is a fantastic movie, I think you would like it...skip the sex scene if you must - but it is a really emotional movie about the heartache that love can cause.

i don't believe of maximum persons dislike Cruise for him being a scientologist. i imagine they dislike him because he's extrememly outspoken about his non secular beleifs to others and has actually defaced others in the call of his faith. Brooke Shields is an party of this habit. As an american you've the right to freedom of religion and speech which Cruise has taken earnings of. basically because you've those rights would not advise you ought to "use" them to deface or damage yet another American or individual. definite over the years Christians were overly zealous with their beliefs and characteristic pushed them on to others, I easily have an same opinion about those sorts as I do Cruise. i do not dislike or hate him...I basically do not comprehend why he feels he ought to push his beliefs in this variety of fashion as to damage others. He basically ought to comprehend there's a international outdoors scientology in which maximum different human beings stay. He won't be able to easily push aside those human beings's studies because they don't "fit" into Scientologies teachings.

I am all for respecting others opinions, but convincing Katie to use a pacifier because he didn't want her to make a sound during birth was just stupid. I also think he has a horrible personality and needs to quit being so loud with his opinions. Being in love with Katie-great, I'm glad he found happiness- but that doesn't mean resort to attacking furniture.

Scientology is a cult, not a genuine religion, and its followers rely on indoctrination and intimidation tactics that would be more at home at Guantanamo Bay than in a church. If he had kept his mouth shut about Scientology, people might have more respect for him.
