How much faster is it than the basic limewire?
Has anyone been prosecuted for downloading music through limewire in the UK? Is there a way to avoid being detected totally?

If your version of Limewire allows you to downlaod programs, you can download Limewire pro from there, the new basic version does not have a program download feature, I guess because people are gettin pro from there. Pro gives you more bandwidth, better search results, faster downloads etc. Highly recomended although upgrading to the next level still cost pro money.

It's a little bit faster and you get more results, but not really significantly (in my experience anyway). I'm not sure specifically about limewire prosecutions, but you can be prosecuted for piracy regardless who you download it from, if you're actually committing an act of piracy that is, which a lot of lime wire users probably are. Usually charges are only brought against very heavy use i.e. people who download constantly and have a vast library of pirated material. If you just want to check out a few songs then you wont get touched.
If you want lime wire pro though you *could* just do a search for lime wire pro and download it that way. That's if you're a propper pirate, arrhhh matey!

i use limewire pro and it is deffrent has a better search on it it pulls up much more than the free one it also has no pop ups and tghose who use pro are put ahead of those who dont so you can download about 20% faster and as far as i can tell no one in the uk has been prosecuted for useing it and the guy who said their was no diffrence is wrong first he pays for his limewire pro which is stupid when you can get it for free right off limewire

No, iv'e got it and its the same as basic. Rip off. Also after 6 months it wont let you up date to newer versions without paying again. Make sure you got good virus protection if your using Limewire..

i've go limewire pro and pretty fast you get more hosts and more results for your search i haven t heard any1 that's been prosecuted to avoid that dont download too much each day.
