I'd ask him "Are you afraid of heights?" If he says "No", I'd tell him "well, your zipper is". If he says "Yes" then I'd say "Your zipper is too".

As a guy, I would certainly tell. It has happened to me where I have discovered it on my own and wondered how long I had been wondering around like that with no one having the courtesy to tell me
Someone could have at least warned me that if the barn door stays open, the horse is going to get out.
