it depends on what your teacher wants you to do. if the essay is due tomorrow make a works cited page and bring it in just in case. otherwise ask your teacher tomorrow if it is necessary or check your mla handbook for specific information regarding this...it'll probably be in there, but it might ultimately be up to your teacher.

It's a format that a majority of high school teachers and college professors ask their students to write their papers in. ~Basically in microsoft word you want to set the left and right margins to 1 inch, instead of 1.25 inches like they have as a default. ~You also want to have it double spaced, vs. single spaced. ~Set the font size to 12 in Times New Roman ~View the header and footer of the essay. In the header section press the tab twice to bring the mark all the way to the right side of the paper. Type your last name, then space, followed by clicking page numbers so that with each page it'll start with "1" on the first name and then "2" on the second page and so forth. ~For the top of your essay (below the header) type the following all the way to the left of your paper: =Your first and last name =Your class that you are in (e.g. English 101) =Your teachers name (e.e. Mrs. Jones) = The date in MLA format (e.g. 30 October 2010) ~Now put the title of your paper in the center. For example, if you wrote a book report on "To Kill a Mockingbird" then that could be your title. ~Then you'll start writing your essay after the title.

You can download mla from the internet and you will get the necessary info. Failing this just ask your lecturer.
