I bought the makeup that you're supposed to use to give that charcoal look you know with the grayish eye liner/shadow, but is there any specific way you're supposed to put it on?

1. apply the eyeliner first (medium line)
2. smudge the eyeliner with a q-tip (smudge upwards)
3. apply the shadow from the lashline to a little above the crease
4. use a q-tip to apply a little eyeshadow into the bottom lashes

Enjoy your smoky-eyed new look!

start off with the black liner just in the outside corner then take a q-tip with some black eye shadow and put it on to deepen and lock in the liner. then you need white eye shadow put that on a q-tip and start from the inside corner and blend it in with the black. then what you want to do is put the white eye shadow up on the brow line,(you would want to use a brush for this) put your brush in the black eye shadow and then put your same brush in the white shadow and start from the outside corner and brush up make like a triangle with the point towards the inner part of the eye. then you would want to take a like pink or neutral color and blend. start at the inner part of the eye and brush out..hope you can understand this and good luck!!!!

I use black, but it's a soft powder. I can put it on light or darker.
I used to use only pencil or liquid. But I go for a less harsh look.
Smudging is now the "IN" thing on eyes. The powder won't run.
And u can use whatever color u want ! It's really cool. But don't
get a Loose powder. Get the hard powder w/ the ( pad stick) to
use for your eye contour. Hope this helps ya....!

Read the instruction, if its named after a specific person, make-up artist, then check-out his/her site for tips or try to contact them. If it wan't in a packaged case or something don't use it, you don't know whats in it. There is something similar to in it Asia, but its homemade, some people make it the wrong way and it could hurt your eyes, I'm just trying to help, and I hope this answers your question.

visit a cosmetic counter at one of your favourite stores and ask for a make-up artist who can show you the best way to apply your eye make-up. You may have to call in advance and book an appointment, but it is well worth your time.
