When someone such as the media lies, of course they have an agenda. They don't just report the stories out of the goodness of their hearts. It's not "just a public service"
Follow the money trail and you will see who want to control what we think. It aint good!

Obviously much of the media is trying to mislead. Many of the pictures used from Lebanon were proven to be altered or set up. The BBC, AP and Reuters have all admitted to using falsified photography. It's being discussed at blogs now whether the cash shown handed out by Hezbullah was obviously counterfeit. The Media has an agenda (and not just Fox News all of it.)
I wouldn't go so far as to say it's one large conspiracy. You can tell by some yelling about the "liberal media" and some being completely threatened by Fox News. There's been studies on media bias. Here's one if you want to read it:

The liberal media has tried to pass off forged documents that falsified Bushes service record. They faked pictures of Lebanese civilian deaths, gas tank fires on new vehicles, poisoned fish and many more things. These are just some of the things they were caught at and doesn't even include what they got away with. So, yes.
Do not let this confuse you though, V for Vendetta is JUST a movie. I thought it was a good movie but I could see the non-thinking left seeing it as a documentary on what to do. It is not a good analogy to real life because it is too sympathetic to the terrorist and shows V as a hero. Remember a terrorist rationalizes their actions and resorts to terror because they have a minority opinion. This includes anti- abortionist who blow up clinics and Muslim Extremists who blow up buildings.

Yes, I think that the government lies to us repeatedly. I am particularly incensed about the way the Bush administration presented the case on the war in Iraq. I think the media lies less to us than the government. But I avoid Fox news. And now that the government is prosecuting reporters to get their sources, I'm sure we're going to hear even more tall tales.

I don't think the majority of the media lies... perhaps they are naive/lazy and don't investigate what the government says... but not intentionally lie... they just repeat what the government tells them and trusts that it's true...
the government... I don't know... I think different administrations lie more than others... I'm not very trusting of the current admin... but I do think that they think they are doing the right thing... but the road to h*ll is paved with good intentions...

absolutely. the government obviously lies to us, i dont even think i have to explain that one. But does our media? yes, all stations have a bias. Fox news, well they straight out lie, its actually kind of funny to watch. CNN MSNBC...they all are relatively neutral. But one thing i have noticed is how they portray the war in the middle east. Israel is almost always the victim. But the truth is, they invaded lebanon awhile ago, and never fully removed themselves from their land, what would you do if mexico took over part of america and never left? not to mention the amount of innocent blood spilt by israeli bombs. oh yea i forgot we support israel, why im not sure. but the truth is that we are the ones who gave them missiles, nuclear and conventional. so it makes america look horrible when we rip israel a new one for what they have done. i believe that is bias, or a glorified lie if you will.

I don't think the media intentionally lie, though some media (Fox News, for example) is extremely biased. But politicians lie as a profession.

I don't know this "dilibertly" that you speak of... the word is deliberately. Some News Channels do lie (Fox News), Most politicians lie quite naturally.
