If you've never had any exposure to either language that it doesn't matter because they are so similar. I had the problem of taking French in High School and taking Spanish in College and confusing the two because of their similarities or speaking Spanish with a French accent which amused my classmates to no end. The reason I ended taking Spanish in College was that it was more "practically spoken" where I live (in AZ), and it was the only language class that would fit in my schedule. This mistake cost me almost 8 semesters when it should have only been 4 semesters. I have a grasp of both now though it was hell at the time. If I could turn back the clock, I would have waited an extra semester and took French when it would have fit in my schedule. If you like both languages, then you really can't lose. Have fun with either, but I would say that Spanish is more prevalent in the Southwestern U.S. while if you knew you would be using French in the Northern U.S., France, or Canada then take French. Either way have fun. Adios, Amiga/o.

French is easier to learn. A lot of the language has been incorporated into English or Pop Culture so it is easy to recognize. Spanish is also easy and is more useful since a lot more people in the US speak Spanish.
Depends....if you are looking for an easy A, go with French. If you are looking for something that will look good on a resume and come in handy, take Spanish.

Hey!! I'm a spanish native speaker and sometimes I don't get what people from other countries say because of the accent!!
But differ from french it's way easier the pronuntiation. Even spanish spokers have problems with french whose language is alike( imagine how harder it's for english speakers)
In our case it's though.. because frenchs often pronounce only the first half of the word, and it's a nightmare at first. it's harder also to get to explain yourself than in spanish.
French and Spanish have the same difficulty in grammar. It's more difficult than english because you have to conjugate verbs and you have to be dedicated! But anyway whatever you pick will be the same (except fot pronunciation.. so French is harder)
That is the only information you should know if you just wanna approve that subject (but I hope you'll take it more serious)
It's up to you now if you wanna consider further reasons:
the different cultures, the people, etc..
If you are in USA you'll use spanish to talk to people over there.. maybe for business, but in my opinion, you would have more advantages if you speak french because of competition.. and viceversa
so it really doesn't matter.. it depends on you! on what you'll do with that language..
Good luck!
Viel Glück!
Bonne Chance!
Buena Suerte!
P.D: german is too hard!! but 4 u it would be easier than me hehe

if you live in usa pick spanish because it's the second language. But if you live in Europe pick French. I think every language is hard as the other one, and you can't really tell if it's hard or easy.

For me Spanish is easier but you should make your choice based on your neighbouring state eg in Miami is predominantly Spanish and English speaking. If Miami is your neighbouring state you might wanna choose Spanish. It will make life easier when you are grown and doing business.
