I've been trying to find free sheet music for piano for the songs:
"Sur Le Fil" by Yann Tiersen from the film Amelie.
"The Sixth Station" by Joe Hisaishi from the film Spirited Away.
"Trois Gymnopédies I" by Erik Satie.
But I've had no luck. I would really appreciate any help on the subject. Thanks...

Music has been a rich source of entertainment since the ages. It still continues to throb the hearts of many. In today’s advanced technological world there are many gadgets which are kept by the users with them always like I-pod, walkman etc. There was time of Cassettes, CDs, DVDs and now is the time of recording music in USB drives and listening to it at ur leisure time. Sometimes we need to buy music chores and sometimes we get it free from our friends or relatives. Internet is gaining ground everyday in everybody’s life. Life is, slowly, becoming incomplete without Internet. Internet is a rich source of music too. It provides music, paid and free, both. But why to buy when something is available free?

The Eric Satie music is public domain. I did a quick search and found this lo-res version, which may be good enough for you to print and read:

http://www.musicsheaf.com/scores/satie/gymnop/

However, I'm sure you can find a sharper version by searching for terms like this:

Gymnopédies pdf

The other music is still under copyright, so you can't legally download it. You may be able to find it by prowling sheet-music forums or using a file-sharing program---but that's a gray area, of course.

By the way, if you'll permit me a brief rant:

When copyright laws were introduced in the U.S. in the 18th century, they protected the author's ownership for 14 years, with the option to renew for another 14. The idea was to give authors a REASONABLE length of time to profit from their work before society was allowed to freely share it (that is, before it became part of the culture).

Over the years, these protection periods were gradually and steadily extended by business interests. In 2002, the limit had reached 70 years---nearly an entire lifetime.

At that point, the copyright of Mickey Mouse---which began in the 1920s---was in "danger" of going public-domain. So the Disney company exerted its political muscle and had copyright extended to 90 years.

This means that someone who is born around the time of a creative work will now probably NEVER see the time when they can freely access that work. It's a ridiculous and scandalous extortion of copyright's original purpose---and a perfect example of corporate greed taking precedence over society's values. [End of rant]
