If I want character development, good adventure, plenty of action and various classes what game do I want? It can be new or something of the recent (2 years) past.

Diablo is more of a dungeon hack and slash like baldurs gate than a true RPG. The elder scroll series is by far the best RPG thats not online. Morrowind is the previous one ( III ) and the new one IV is Oblivion. Oblivion is stunning, but I also thoroughly enjoy Morrowind.

You'll be AMAZED at The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. I have had it for the 360 since it came out, play it daily, and I'm still not done with it!

try oblivion its the fourth of a series but probably the best for choices and races... morrowind is good too
