you can take first response pregnancy test 5 days before your first missed period. i took one 3 days before my missed period and it was right.

It takes 6 to 10 days for implantation to occur after fertilization. After implantation occurs the body begins to produce the hormone hCG which is what OTC pregnancy tests use to determine if you are pregnant or not. But you have to ask yourself. Are you ovulating right now? If you don't know how to tell then I will help you out. Think of the first day of your last period. Then add 14 days to that. Give or take a day or two but around the 14th day is when you would be ovulating. Ovulation only lasts 2 days and sperm can only survive in a woman's body for 1 to 3 days. So if you had sex and the condom broke when you are ovulating or even a couple of days before you ovulate then there is a good possibility that you are pregnant. BUT!!!! Don't start thinking about it all the time because that will cause stress on your body which can make your period be late. So do what I did. Go about your normal routine and don't do anything different. Then in 10 days take a test. GOOD LUCK I hope this helps you.

Even the BEST pregnancy test can only tell you 4 days before your next period should come. I know it sucks having to wait, but taking a test any sooner than that will defiantly give you a FALSE negative as your body hasn't begun to produce the HCG hormone that the pregnancy test picks up on.

no pregnancy test is accurate before the first day of your missed period (that includes a blood test from the doctor contrary to popular belief)
the first day you should test is the day you miss your period or 14 days after the questionable activity which ever comes last
