Hi,
I think I might be pregnant...My finacee and I have wanted a baby for so long, but I've always been let down with a big fat negative test when I thought I was...so i'm afraid to find out.
I had some very light spotting about a week and a half before my period was due...just one or two drops and then nothing. I'm now 5 days late for my period. (I keep track on a calender, so i know thats not always acurate)
I really want to be pregnant, as this would be the first time. but I don't thnk I could take another let down.

Plan something fun to do to cheer you up afterwards if you don't get the answer you want.
Test and get it over with. The sooner you know, the sooner you can deal with any disappointment you might have.
In the meantime, ask you doctor if you need to take prenatal vitamins, just in case

Been there done that for 2 1/2 yrs it sucks getting your hopes up and then seeing a big fat negative I know!!! FINALLY we have a son who is turning 4 and starting pre school now! You WILL get pregnant when the timing is right. But you will one day--
Anyways, take an EPT test or wait for 5 more days. I just went through that AGAIN a few months ago and was late up to day 10! turned out to be a big fat negative at home and at the Dr office. Then I get it the next day on day 11 after seeing the Dr etc.. ugh When we stress over it too much that can cause a period to delay too. Why not wait until you are married, or maybe you have reasons behind that? Our cycles can flucutate too so take a test and or wait 5 more days. Try not to stress over it. It is never any fun to be let down when you are trying to conceive, but the sooner that you find out, the better. That way you can go and see a doctor and start getting the proper instructions and treatment that you need for that baby. Remember, it is no longer about you, it is ALL about the baby. But why do you want to have a baby before marriage anyway? Well, doesn't matter, sounds like I asked the question too late. Good Luck!

It would be better all the way around if you and your fiance did things in the proper order... Obviously, it's too late for that! So, why don't you both get married FIRST, then try to conceive...? Why should anyone expect God to bless your union with conception when He hates the fact that you both are going against His law by fornicating...? Another thought: Suppose He blesses you and you miscarry during the pregancy...? How would you deal with that...?

Take the test! If it is positive you can go out and celebrate with some sparkling apple cider. If it is negative, go have some wine/beer/alcoholic beverage of choice and some sushi, if you like it, cause it may be a while until the next time!

You gonna find out in due time anyway, so just do the test. Not doing the test doesn't mean you r not going to be let down in the end.

Oh dear god girl! Just take the test. It took my hubby and me several months to get pregnant with the second. Look at it this way, if it's negative, you know now so you can get started on trying again. If you don't take it then you're just wasting time!

Just wondering why you are trying so hard to get pregnant before you get married. You said "fiance" so I am assuming you are planning a wedding. Why not make it legal first so you will look gorgeous in your wedding dress, photos, etc. ? After your baby comes, you may not ever be the weight you were pre-baby. Just my 2 cents.

Letdowns are hard, but you should take a test asap in case you are pregnant so your baby can get all the care it needs such as doctors visits and prenatal vitamins.

You really need to find out. If you are afraid to find out, have a friend help you with the test. After test is done have her look at it & tell you the results. You need to make sure everything is okay.
