Go with the black suit summer & winter. Its smart and enables you to wear any colour shirt.

Well black is certainly more formal. I also work in a company where we need to be suited (during meetings with customers and negotiations). We generally break out the black suits only when we want to look formidable and professional.
The attire is usually more casual during ordinary work days- navy, gray, or beige suits with shirts (tie being optional).

Your style ie Black and dark suits is more office like & professional so keep doing what you are doing. Don't worry about it so much you both sound smart & its only work - its what you look like outside the office that really matters!

The very previous rule is White after easter yet no longer after labor day. It holds actual for the two adult adult males and ladies. he's no longer incorrect in wearing white pants to the place of work. i'm able to't remark on the outfit as an entire i haven't considered it. only element i'm able to assert is he's a braver guy than I. I wera something white and it finally ends up getting stained.

I personally would not wear brown shoes with a black suit. Otherwise, I say, to each his own.

They both sound OK - although a dark suit is more business like.

Sorry to say this but you did ask - variety is the spice of life and if you are not restricted would say that your colleague has got it right.

As long as it's smart the rest is up to you, what you feel comfortable and well dressed in.
