Any of the one's from Michigan are obvious choices from my experience as are some of the others I've been to/through like Gary, Newark the St. Loius area, etc. Toledo, Ohio and Las Vegas both surprise me and I cannot comment on the rest. I guess going by the criteria listed and not knowing the cities other than in Michigan intimately anything is possible-huh?

I'm originally from Michigan, and wasn't at all surprised to see that Flint & Detroit are on this list. Also, Gary & Michigan City, IN are both really terrible.

I was surprised by St. Louis, Atlanta, Kansas City, Memphis, & Los Angeles. I've been to all of these, and enjoyed my time there.

I was surprised that Tacoma, WA and Oakland, CA weren't on the list though.

I don't agree with Toledo, I work and go to school in Toledo and am very happy with the town. I work in the construction/engineering field and there are a lot of high profile renovations starting up. The city is really turning around I think.

I do agree with all the Michigan cities though.

I think they should have added:

Cleveland, Ohio - I was raised there, (moved to Orlando) & see now they are in very bad shape with losing jobs, dirt, crime, etc. I have some family there & they agree with me!

I agree with Toldeo & Youngstown & Dayton being on the list.

I guess that Gary, IN is on there because people are trying to be like Micheal jackson (he was born there!)

I seen the Las vegas was bad. The only good part was the strip! lol

Buffalo, NY is soooo dirty & nasty! I would NEVER live there!

I think those cities do belong on the list, but how can they manage to say who was worse? lol I think I would have a lot of ties!

E. Stl is in IL and is not a good place to live. Urbana is a wonderful town (Champaign-Urbana) and is home of the University of Illinois (I grew up outside of C-U). It is a clean safe place that is very cultural and diverse with lots to do. Not to mention it the farmland of the midwest with good values. It should in no way be on the list, unless it is the good list. I dont know where you got your info, but it is WRONG.

I don't agree at all. I love the whole city of Las Vegas and thougth everyone was very friendly while I was there. We traveled to other locations away from the strip. Kansas City is a nice community to.
