Depends. if you have a large jacuzzi, it may have sand filters that require backwashing. This is a process by which the flow of water is reversed through the filter and flushed down the drain. you should have instructions on this if it is the case.
Empty any strainer baskets of gunge into a bucket and dispose. Use a wire brush if it is stuck tight.
There will no doubt be a ring of scum around the edge. you shouldn't use normal detergents, because it will reat with the chlorine. Try using calcium carbonate... you should be using this chemical to balance the water.
Finally, backwashing should remove a lot of the water. Replace it . If you do not backwash your filter, you should change the water depending on how often you use your jacuzzi. also ensure that you do not have the correct balance of chlorine. There are testing kits available. Keeping the correct amount of free chlorine will also help to keep your spa clean.
Good luck.

this stuff are very risky. we've executed a similar and purchased a house with already put in and the training e book warns you about all sorts of issues mutually with Legionnaires disease in the journey that they don't look to be wiped clean a week. you should get a sterilising fluid like Milton , take off the administration knobs on the right of the bathtub and pour it into the tubes. then you truthfully fill the bathtub over the jets and run it for ten minutes at complete blast. Empty the bathtub and repeat with purely sparkling water. This takes about 1/2 an hour a week. when we could have the funds for a perfect bathtub we are going to promote off this. are you able to imagine what those in resorts and well being golf equipment are like. The tubes are complete of different peoples body fat, pubic hair and faecal remember.

To clean the pipework/jets/pump which should be done about every six weeks ( depending on use) you need to buy some proprietory claening fluid ( also available in tablet form) & the best time to do it is after you have used it. Drain away about half the water & refill with cold water, add the tablet/solution & switch it on with the air control off so that the water is being recirculated . Leave on for about 15/20 minutes & then switch off and drain away the water. Most bathroom studios will sell the stuff.

On the programme, 'how clean is your house', they used dishwasher tablets in a jacuzzi bath. They put warm water in as normal and left it on for an hour or so - then they used a sieve to skim the top of the water for hair etc.

If it is empty soap and water will do fine, but make sure you rinse well. You could also use some bleach for a disenfectant.
