Sally Hanson has a whole line of polishes designed to strengthen weak nails. The most important thing to remember is that you should keep them protected. Always try to have them covered in a clear, vitamin enriched nail hardening polish and don't use household chemicals on them, like bleach. And although this is going to sound funny, but moisturize them. Right after you wipe off the polish (try not to use acetone more than once a week), add a few dabs of moisturizer and let it set in before polishing them with a hardener.

Use Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails - it's clear nail polish that has a natural tint. It hardens nails, and makes them nice and shiny! Also, file them regularly - sharp or mishapen nails break easier. Good luck!

I use Sally Hansen's no more breaks after they grow to their usual maximum length. Apply about every other day. You can even use it over your regular nail polish! They should carry them at regular drugstores, and I know Wal-Mart has it.
