Get a tin can or any kind of container streatch plastic wrap tightly over the top secure with a rubberband poke holes into the plastic like the size of a ball point pen the fruit flies get in but can't get out. OH First before you put the plastic wrap on add some fruit to attract them. almost forgot that part. Happy fruit fly trapping!!

Don`t leave fruit out to long especially the peel. Wipe everything down with 409 especially where you left the bananas where at.

I left a piece of fruit in the sink overnight, and left a spray bottle of kitchen cleaner beside the sink. First thing in the morning...grab that spray and mist over the sink quickly. It took a few days, but it finally reduced the population to below nuisance level.

1) Get rid of the fruit
2) What works best for us is to just them die on their own. You can try to kill them, but they have an incredibly short lifespan. Something like 2 days maybe? You just let them die off.

make sure you have taken out all spoiled food. Then throughly clean the counter tops, it will take a little time but they will leave, if there is nothing for them to feed on.

Swatting them with your hands or sandal - it works best for me. They're quick little buggers.
