Depends I love to get tattoos and the place i get them the artists just tells you a price. If you live in Iowa or plan to come to Iowa there is a place in Fort Dodge called Permanent Collections that's where I go.

Around my area, Central Texas, that is about average for big tattoos.
Some places do it by the inches of the tattoo with a set minimum charge

I've only been to 2. The $100/hour place was very clean and professional. I went to a $70/hour place and got one of the WORST tats of my life.
You get what you pay for - since it's permanent, go big. Pay extra.

£100 to £250 assuming you live in the UK. Maybe 150 - 400 Euro if you live in the European single currency area. In the USA between $150 and $600 (prices vary a lot between states and cities).

It depends on the location of the shop and the popularity of the artist.
