Pantyhose are a personal prefrence. I would say yes, but then I enjoy wearing pantyhose. Hosiery gives legs an even tone, while offering great support to your legs. Bare legs are 'in' whatever that means... but then I've never been an 'in' kind of girl - I like to wear what makes me happy. As everyone should. Fashionistas are way too wrapped up in their image to realize that they are actually people.

Depends - are you wearing this dress to a casual event, or something more dressy. The more dressy the even you're wearing this dress to, the more you should wear nylons. If you do wear nylons, go with something very sheer (black sheer).
However, being a Californian, I never wear nylons unless it's cold out. A good alternative is to get nice lotion with a little sparkle to dress up your legs. Wear strappy-heeled sandals.
By the way: very cute dress! I personallly think it's too casual for nylons - show off those legs!

Wear an evening sheer in a skin tone, off-black, or black. Pantyhose are not out of style, so don't listen to those scanks.

you will be wearing a black patent pumps so that means you have to wear pantyhose..get black ultra sheer pantyhose......i suggest you get hanes absolutely sheer in black or silk reflections in jet black. As long as its ultra sheer it will work but try the one i mentioned...it will look good......you dont wanna look like a cheap girl ,so wear nylons....its not a ordinary occasion

Well, I wear skin-coloured tights sometimes with a skirt. It just makes your legs nicer. If you have any imperfections in your legs (like cuts, scars, veins etc), then it is a good idea.
