My boy goat has been banded for 5 weeks now! His jewels are shribbled up and all but still hanging. My female goat is in heat and he has been doing the nasty with her. Can he still get her pregnant or his sperm no good now since hes been banded 5 weeks now?/?

When you banded him, you cut off the supply line. Especially now since the testicles are shriveled and for want of a better term, dead, there's no way he can breed your doe. He's probably just got the act ingrained in his head. No harm, no foul.

If he was still able to get some of the boys working then she could be.

And depending on the boy, if he is older he will keep doing the nasty because when bucks reach a certain age they sometimes can still do the deed, but with no baby material.

Younger goats usually grow out of it, you should band a boy before he is 3 months old, that is when they get fertile, but there have been younger boys who have done the deed as well.

Wethers can tell you when a doe is in heat. They are good broadcasters. Wethers will mount the girls in heat and sometimes fight for them with the bucks. My boy never lets me down. Just because their baby materials are gone doesn't mean they don't know their women.

each and every so often goats could have a third testicle that's bigger than the different 2, so even in spite of the undeniable fact that the vet castrated the lads one would desire to nevertheless be actively generating sperm. otherwise the only guess I even have for you is a faux being pregnant. the terrific guess is to take your goat to a vet and get her preg examined. desire that facilitates!

If he's been banded for 5 weeks, I'm going to say no. That's more than long enough for any possible semen to have died off.
