There is so much difference between 13 and 20 that more then a year is WAY TOO MUCH! After the age of 20 that gap gets to be less and less. So if you are 20 stick with 19 - 21 year olds.

If you go out with someone thats not legal age you are setting yourself up for a whole lot of trouble .....I would stick to your own age group or at least someone who is over the age of 18 ( I'm not sure what the legal age is where you are but most places it is the age of 18 , tho I've seen age 21 mentioned too , so I'm not sure)
Anyway , once you are classed legally an adult, then the choice is yours . alot of age gap relationships work out fine, but be sure both people in the relationship are of legal age Till then I would consider it very suspect for an adult to be going out with a minor....if you are both the same age say both 16 or both 17 , then it's not a prob ,,but if you are 18 (adult) and she is 16 (minor) I would stay away from that situation. Hope this helps.

First of all there is alot of maturity and physical difference between a 20 year old and 17 year old(in as much as your magical 3 year difference).
My husband and I are 9 and a half years different...we got married when I was 16 he was 25...
It depends on the maturity level and also the predator nature of it all.
So until you grow up, keep it in your own age range.

If you are from the US, within the age differences you noted it is not OK because anyone 18 or older sustaining relationships with anyone under 18 is unlawful. Once both parties are over the age of legal consent then the age difference doesn't play an important role unless you are hung up on the traditional social beliefs.

I'd say if your 20 its not really ok to date someone thats 16 or 17, but it happens all the time... some people are more mature than there age... but if your 17 and your dating someone 14 thats a HUGE age difference its like your one year from drinking but that 14 year old just hit puberty LoL!!!

I think older you get, bigger age difference is acceptable. I mean if a guy is 40 and his gf 32, it's eight years, but it's ok. Compare to when a guy would be 20, then eight years younger would be 12 and that's just sick. So really - depends how old are you....

Until the age of 18, you have to be real careful because of the law. After both are 21, age is only a number.

once you are both of legal age, it doesn't matter. if the guy is over 18 and his gf is 15-16, you can and should get into some serious legal trouble.

Ive had 3 years younger by my side twice. i think its based on if that person is mature enough to even know what love is.

if your 20 she should be at least 18 (above)
so that incase something does happen; lets say she gets pregnant you cant get your self into serious problems with the law if her parents dont approve of you
hope i helped you out
