I think Goodwill and Salvation Army would disagree with you about selling of clothes!

My understanding of "thrift store" is that it is usually selling donated goods so you sell whatever is donated.

A Junk shop, or Junque Shoppe as my local one is called, sells EVERYTHING from candy to wash boards.

One good idea is a Big Women's Clothing Consignment shop. You get higher prices for the clothes and you do not have to put the money up front for stock.

Small workable appliances are good sellers, also small pieces of furniture, i.e. tables, chairs, especially if they are in good condition and can be refinished to look new and updated. I like to buy glassware and dishes. If you sell clothes, the best is children's clothing. If they are like new and in good condition they sell really well.
