That's awful. Sending sympathy. i think it gets worse at this time of year. I don't know why!!
From a very young age I was terrified of spiders. I overcame it, partly, (the REALLY big ones still freak me out) a few years ago when on holiday in the south of France with my first lover. We were camping...in long grass....in late August....and there were literally hundreds of insects, including enormous spiders.
It was OK when the tent was zipped up tight and my boyfriend held me tight...but to get to the loos, I had to go through the long grass...in the dark!!!
Eventually I just had to grit my teeth and brave the night life. It was Kill or Cure. I would either die from perpetual terror or burst! Aso I wanted to impress my boyfriend (and check my make up in the mirror too!)
Psychologists call this The Flooding Technique - when the patient is exposed to the thing she is most terrified of! (This is supposed to happen gradually...)
Sounds like you could be about to conquor your fear of spiders?

It's the weather, it's been raining but stil very mild out, they don't actually like the wet and will move to the nearest dry place. On the plus side at least they will keep the flies at bay.

Reading the question was all it took to give me the willies.
Do I ever hate great big spiders. Ack. Didn't like typing that, even.
Just be thankful they aren't centipedes.

May be so dry out that they are pretty sure they need to seek larger prey in a moister environment.

They probably think it's too cold outside. Give 'em a cuddle from me.
