I'm 27. Dated this girl brieftly...she got pregnant...I wanted her to have an abortion...i didn't want the child....we have a DNA test, the child is mine 100% but i'm not emotionally, financially, or mentally able to raise a child. I barely make $1000 per month...I live in los angeles as a struggling comedian/writer. if i agree to give her all custody and no visitation do I still have to pay child support? Can I bring proof that she is harassing me by phone, email, and myspace? Email me michaelmagid@aol.com

she isn't really harassing me, i'm just going to try to make it look like she is and show them all the emails we have exchanged, im's and texts. She's not mean, it's just sick with all the color pink girl graphics she uses...her happiness is sick! I just thought if I brought evidence she has talked to me i could bring in in contempt of court and make her look bad

Why do you keep posting this? Are you waiting for some uninformed person to tell you that you are not responsible? You are.
And I saw the question you posted yesterday with a link to her myspace photo with the baby. First of all, take it down, you are crazy for posting that. Second of all, she is beautiful and the baby is beautiful and you are a fool.
Yes, please do give her full physical *and* legal custody with no visitation, your child will be better for it as you sound like an idiot. I can't believe you're 27 years old, you sound like you are about 14.
You can make an arrangement that you don't have to pay child support WITH HER, if you can get her to agree to it, get it in writing and get it filed at court. Of course, she can always change her mind later and refile but this keeps you from paying now and keeps it from accruing. You have to get her to agree she doesn't want support and agree to waive it. If she takes you to court, the court will make the decision for you.
Your babbling about her harassing you is ridiculous, please stop. You can bring all the "proof" you want it's not going to help your case.

Do you think that she is ready to raise a child either? And by herself with no help from you too? I think it is selfish of you to want to walk away or even abort the fetus that you made. Step up and take responsibility. You are 27, not a little teenager who didn't know what he was doing. Time to get a real job, put some money aside for the child you made and face her (and the future one) like a man.
Don't be just a sperm donor, be apart of your child's life and shape him to be a better person than you are.

Yes, even if you sign away your parental rights, you are still liable to pay child support. I live in the Los Angeles area & I receive child support from my daughters father. What happens is your local child support agency will look at both of your incomes & come up with a fair percentage. Example my ex lives out of state, where the cost of living is much lower than here. I make alot more than he does. But she is his responsibility also. He pays only $30 a week. This may feel horrible to you now, but someday you might be glad you have this child in your life. She's probably angry & hurt that you aren't who she wanted you to be.
You really are a jerk. get over yourself & grow up!!!

Dude you should've thought about the consequences when you opened your fly and had unprotected sex. Dating briefly...well...you're 27 and you should know at 27 a latex item called a condom and what it's uses are for.....
Sorry to say...you'll be paying childsupport whether you want to or not. If this female pursues this in the family courts you'll loose big time!!! 27% of your gross income will go to pay for child support and if you do receive higher income she can petition the courts to have the child support increased...
Change you log in ...Change your email address, and myspace....Change your cell # or home # if you do't want her bothering you.
Why engage in conversation at all.....You're the one missing out on the growth of your child......
The only way you can get out of paying support...is to have the court ordering relinquishing of your rights. This will be tough to do....but you should possibly seek out a family attorney well versed in the in's and outs of family law to see what can be done for you.
Next time a one nighter or even a casual date comes along think of the forever consequences of unwanted pregnancy!

I don't know about LA, but here in Ohio no matter if you give up all rights or not, you still legally have to pay child support. Giving up rights, just means that you can't make the decisions, or have any say in the childs life. You are however still required by law to pay child support.

You can legally give up your rights as a parent. That means you have NO right to see the child until it's 18. It's like putting up your child for adoption and you lose all parental rights and responsibilities to that child until they are an adult. You have to go to family court.

new child help is figured based on the earnings of whoever is paying the youngster help and how many different babies he/she is helping. that's distinctive for each individual. If the guy who's to pay new child help would not have a job; they're nonetheless required to pay new child help besides the shown fact that that's set a lesser fee. If the custodial determine is working; it is going to diminish the quantity of youngster help owed by ability of the non-custodial determine via fact the courtroom gadget will see which you're creating wealth and don't choose as lots from the help payer. If a Father does no longer pay new child help for any reason; he does have the suited to nonetheless bypass to together with his son. in case you opt for to no longer enable your new child bypass to together with his/her Father even however he's no longer paying new child help then you certainly can get in worry for contempt of courtroom and be punished to that end. you do no longer choose that to ensue! My advice is to maintain in touch heavily with criminal tips and verify out speaking responsibly to the daddy of the youngster.

your 27, grow up and take responsibility for your actions. This is your son/daughter. And yes, you will still have to pay support, regardless of if you want to see YOUR child. You give men a bad name....
