Jim was big on pot, and it all started with magic brownies filled with marijuana.
Latka was the mechanic and Louie DiPalma was the dispatcher.

They told Jim to "slow down." Only, they weren't really telling him to slow down, they were giving him the answer to the driving question. Jim was an ex-druggie, a child of the 60's, a burn out. The mechanic was Latka Gravis and the dispatcher was Louie DePalma, no relation to Brian. This was one of my favorite shows.
