Mine is "The Village". It shows the way people in power use imaginary monsters & taboos to control society.

Most certainly the village! The acting is great, and the fact that the monsters are false, or shall i say "farse" is such a great twist. I am so with you on this one! It is one of my favorite movies of all time! He is such a creative director!

The Village? Signs? What are you guys smoking? Those movies sucked. The end to The Village was dumb. I mean what a let down. I wanted to see a good scary ending, not a commentary/indictment of the society we live in. We have the 11:00PM news broadcast for that. Signs was sheer torture to sit thru its entirety.

His best movies were Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense.

I love the Village because it does show how people use imaginary creatures to control the way people think and what they do.

I think that's a great interpretation of the movie...my favorite movie by him is Unbreakable, I just thought it was great how it showed how every hero has a villain, and how it could be possible to be a modern day hero in this day when nothing but darkness and negativity surrounds us.

It also showed how someone really has to battle with oneself to accept ones destiny to do good as opposed to just being part of the big problem.

The reluctant hero really got me. Plus I loved comic books growing up so it was a curve ball I never saw.

Sixth sense. I think that movie is his best movie with the best ironic twist. Signs is good as well. I didn't like the Village and won't watch "Lady in Water" (or something). I think M.Night is losing his touch as he makes more movies.

Mine is The Sixth Sense! I absolutely loved that movie!!! Signs would probably be 2nd followed by Unbreakable.
