How to I get popular when I'm new?

if you mean new to school.....well i was new to my school last year (i came mid-year) and i became popular by being true to myself.

figure out who is popular in your school and then get to know these people. you might not like them or you may not. if you dont, think about it, is popularity everything or would you rather be around people you feel comfortable with?

in the long run popularity isnt everything. but coming in to a new school is a chance to make a new name for yourself. just remember to be you! good luck!

If you have to make a drastic change to become popular its not worth it. Eventually you'll spend so much time worrying about being popular, that you'll stray away from school and won't even focus on the main aspect of it: learning. Popularity is way overrated, after school it all dies down, and you wasted your time at school for something that lasts a few years, instead of an education that lasts a life time... Just be yourself, its much simplier.

It dose not matter if u r populare it just matters if u make the right friendsthat u think r right for u.

you dont....stupid. do you even realize how much crap gets said behind your back when you're popular? urgh ESPECIALLY if you're new. you're probably thinking your school isnt like that, but thats only because its said behind your back. BEHIND. but w/e. go ahead and be popular, all you have to do....is not be yourself. the definition of popular isnt always the same these days...and from what ive witnessed, its not a good one. BE YOURSELF.

Popularity is WAY overrated! It never lasts, and you'll end up seeking popularity again. Sheesh people - try just being yourself! You don't want people liking a "fake" you - unless you just want a shallow life!

Don't try. It really works. I was popular and didn't know it until I finished high school.

I played in the orchestra. I sang in the chorus. I was in the drama club. I had "geek" written all over me. People liked me because I was real.

whatever you do, dont get carried away. this sounds corny but u have to be urself. bc if ur not then ur gonna drive urself crazy pretending to be someone your not. and be carefull not to be peer pressured into stuff just bc u want to make friends.
and keep in mind, you dont have to be popular for people to like you.

wait untill the first few days of school go by and try to figure out who the cool girls are. Then, try your very hardest to be in their clique! By try your hardest, I mean, always be nice to them, dont be too clingy, and try to wear the same type of clothes they wear. Try your hardest not to seem fake.

Most people would probably tell you to "be yourself" but everyone knows that that doesn't actually work.

Don't be bitchy about anyone, make as many friends from as many circles as possible and try and get invited to the coolest parties!
