i have a pet turtle, and everyday i put him on the patio to get some sun in a metal tub thing, with high sides, so there's no possible way he could've got out himself. i'm thinking that maybe a cat or dog got him, but wouldn't eat him, and then dropped him somewhere. where would the turtle want to go (where should i look??) i don't know if he would go to water, shade, sun, if he would run or stay still.

PLEASEEEEEEEE HELP! THIS IS SO IMPORTANT TO ME =[

You don't say how large he is or what type of turtle he is.
I hate to tell you this but if a dog got him the odds are he is dead. Dogs chew through turtles & tortoises carapaces (shell) all the time.
I hope I am wrong.

Erm, probably shade or water. If you have a deck, check under it...check any ditches or streams and such. Check under trees. But even if an animal did grab him, I assume he would go into his shell and then the dog or cat would realize they couldn't do anything with it ad leave it alone. So its bound to be somewhere.

Then again, that actually depends on how big it is. If its small enough, I suppose a dog could bite through the shell.

Well what kind of turtle was he? Some love to be in the water all the time others like land more. Look aound all the sides of the house and then look around all the water near by. Check the pavement on the road its hot and he may have went there to warm up.

First of all, i wouldn't put anything in a metal tub outside on a summer day.... If he somehow got away, he would probably seek out shade and water, turtles also dig. So he might just pop his head out of the ground in a couple of days.

we had crows come and pick up some of our babies
so if they got dropped, there's no telling what part of the state they are in
