I agree with you 100% totally. This whole world needs to hear the gospel and once they make Jesus Christ Lord and Savior of their lives and grow in their relationship with Him, we would see more peace turn out in this world.

If you really cared about not offending people, you wouldn't have asked such an idiotic question to begin with.

No, the world wouldn't be a better place. It would be a boring place. Everyone would act the same, eat the same, and believe the same. Who's to say who has the right answer?

Now don't get me wrong, I claim to be a Christian, but these overly devout types remind me a LOT of heroin addicts (which, if everyone was on, would make the same kind of world).

Don't get discouraged. By all means, beleive what you're gonna, but don't expect anyone else to do the same for very long. The lord's commandments are all fine and dandy, but something tells me they're not the same now as they were two thousand years ago. Eh, we'll all find out soon enough, right?

Yes, some things may be better. Unfortunately things are mostly up to interpretation.

The whole part of the commandments describing how he's a jealous god is pretty odd. Punishing children for the iniquities of parents down to the third and fourth generation seems just not right.

Also, I like the part about having a day off. Particularly for all my slaves, male or female. Doesn't have a problem with having slaves, just make sure I give them the sabbath off.

Honor father and mother, no adultery, stealing, muder (unless god tell you to right?), bearing false witness, or coveting others posessions. Those are all good.

I am a Christian also and if everyone lived by God's word then of course the world would be a better place but God has known from the very beginning that we would be doing the exact same things that we are doing in this world today. God knows all. That's why he sent Jesus to die on the cross so we could be forgiven of our sins and have the choice to ask Jesus into our hearts. Once we make that choice, God gives us favor as long as we obey him. Just keep your faith and keep sharing God's word with others. May God Bless You Always.

I think god gave us the capability of thinking; because of that, the man has created a hundred of religions and things to believe in. Maybe, live by the lords commandments, is a little utopic cause there has to be always a balance. You know what the utopic theory says?? that says that when a society becomes perfect it disappears. Our society can't be perfect but we can fight for that, as long as there are people who seeks for the good moral values

Yeah, it would be a better place, but think about this....when Jesus was living, people were still sinning. Everyone wasn't keeping His commandments. Why do you think that is....I'll tell you, it's because of the devil. The same devil that made people rebel back then are making people dis-believe God today and sin against Him. We are not going to have a perfect place until we die and go to heaven. That's the only place that will be better. Keep the faith, and stay strong! : )

Agape,

p.s. A lot of people won't know what agape is, but I got a good feeling that you know and that's all that matters. :-)

No. With the exception of Muslims (I have the facts on my side), all religions are filled with decent and God loving people. You actually believe only Christians can go to heaven don't you? Its a big world and there are many paths to heaven, if thats what you call it. You aint the only show in town!

I agree, the world would be a better place if everyone lived by the Lord's commandments. One of God's commandments told by Jesus is that we love our neighbor as ourself. It is important that we love everyone and respect everyone even if we don't agree. Jesus died for everyone, not just those who believed in Him so we must follow His divine example.

I agree that the world is headed on a self destructive path, the Bible warns of this. All we can do is to continue to live by God's commandments and be a witness, not only by what we say, but by how we live.

There is no "Lord." That is a made-up character.

However, if there were a God, she would certainly be very mad at all the people that use her as an excuse to have wars and killing. Christians have been the worst offenders by far over the last several hundred years.

I do am a sinner. little doubt. This has no longer something to do with accepting Jesus (who, via the way, I admire via fact the terrific ethical instructor who ever walked earth). It has no longer something to do with the unique sin the two, which isn't ingesting a fruit. cope with it. it rather is the inevitable actuality that people are imperfect. a ingredient that shocks me is what number human beings blame how faith is disappearing from the customary public existence for each concern we are dealing with: the disappearance of kin, teen pregnancies, college shootings... They fail to point in spite of the undeniable fact that how maximum of those issues are at their max interior the bible belt. The bible has rather little fee in case you do no longer positioned the words in it in prepare. Corinthians 13:4-8 is a sturdy place to start. yet for many, faith is the only ingredient that count. Too undesirable it rather is not any longer the variety of religion Jesus replaced into speaking approximately: faith does not in basic terms recommend believing: the Greek be conscious used for it rather is "pistis": it skill conviction, honesty, righteousness and lots greater. Translating a international like that throughout the time of yet another language is impossible, faith is at terrific an approximation. yet don't think me Christians: pass to the closest library and examine its meaning. Jesus cared little for the miracles. Little tricks to charm to human beings. What mattered replaced into his coaching. Paul M: No offense, yet are not you finding for God's hand greater beneficial than for his face? Abiogenesis has no longer been replicated. this does not recommend it rather is impossible. might you end believing in God if we replicated it? And the clarification why we shelter the elderly and the sicks does have evolutionary motives: empathy favors the survival of the gang, which on the long term favors the opportunity of the guy to reproduce. Elephants mourn their lifeless, monkey mothers keep cuddling their cubs even in spite of the undeniable fact that they are lifeless and that they could be confident from different individuals of the p.c.. to enable them to pass. Morality, like it or no longer, is a great deal inspired from organic empathy and social conditioning. attempt interpreting with reference to the evolution of morality.

I believe if everyone led a christian life and lived by the Lord's word, everyone would be nicer to one another. People are so rude these days. I can't believe the people I talk to on the phone on a daily basis! They cuss at you when they don't get their way or just hang up on you.......I love the LORD and trust in HIM. I came to the LORD late in life, but am so glad I found HIM!
