Be honest: how many of us do you think have slept with or had affairs with guys at some point(s) in our lives for some sort of financial, professional or social gain as A, if not THE, primary consideration. I think it is most of us. Then why can't we be honest about it?

Because it's a social taboo, and nobody wants to be perceived as a "whore".

Granted, I think it's one massively idiotic social taboo...if you can use your body to get ahead, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't.

To be honest I think a lot more of us get married for love than for gain in any way..When you truly love a man it wont be for his money or wealth, it will be for his heart.. So then you do-not want to sleep around and have affairs. Find a good man and you won"t ever ask this question again.

NOT AS MANY AS (YOU) THINK.

I would not do that too myself at all, If I choose to sleep w/ a guy it is only and soley for the fact I am willing to give myself to another person, and for money, social gain, etccc... it is not worth it, and would not bring anything positive into my life. being a woman is a gift and treasure I love, I would not use that as a toy, to get things out of life,

Hell I'm no demon but I'm no angel either. I have in my single years. I don't do it now! I've learned over the years. I'm a widow now and I wouldn't have a married man for all the tea in China!Plus ladies I feel if we all keep these married or men who are in relationships with other women at bay---a lot of cheating wouldn't continue. We have to put ourselves in that married woman's shoes. How would we feel if it happened to us.

I did ONCE! I wanted a certain job, so I slept with the boss. I got the job but the experience was gross. He had a booger hanging out of his nose, his stomach kept growling and he couldn't get it up. Never again!!!!

i think that question applies to not just females but men too. I know i have done it. not to gain anything by it but i was bored in my relationship at that time. and i moved to something else. i was young and i was to scared to tell my boyfriend at the time that i didnt want to be with him anymore. i think cheating is like masturbating. some people do it and some people dont but no matter what you do or dont do, you are accused of it anyway.

For all the women who are saying "I would NEVER stoop that low"...Never say never.
I think every womans situation is different, and it was done for different reasons. In my case, I did it for selfish reasons. To feel loved. I know it sounds stupid and immature, but you can't judge a person without knowing the reasons behind their actions. I am not one to try and cover my past though. If someone is going to judge me for what I've done in my past, then they aren't worth being in my present...or my future for that matter.

I haven't done it. I don't mix business with pleasure and I don't know how sleeping with someone would earn you respect or professional/social gain.

I think that you're trying to ease your conscience.

I positively know that I had not - my husband was my first and only man, and God knows he is just an ordinary man. But, unfortunately, nowadays there are many women - even worse, very young women - who are willing to advance via bed. And I don't think it's good, certainly not for your selfesteem. Seems to me that you are trying to justify something you did.

I slept with two of my previous bosses (at the same firm - n the same time frame) and was rewarded handsomely.

The irony was, we would be in a meeting ALL AT THE SAME time, and only I knew I was doing both of them. THANK GOODNESS their husbands never found out.
