Your hair is probably pretty dark. The other thing is called razor burn.
You need to wax to totally get rid of the shadow you are experiencing. Depilatories and shaving only take the hair off to the skins surface and that is why you need to shave every day and can still see it...
Waxing pulls the hair out at it's roots and grows back much slower.
If you can't afford to go to the salon, save up for your own wax pot and very carefully read or view instructions.
Only problem with this is that it can be messy and you will have a hard time getting it all by yourself.
You may still experience the red dots but it is just acid reacting to the minor injury you have caused your skin. Just drink a bunch of water before you do it and cut out the coffee and juices.
Good luck

It's probably the remaining root and hair that is still growing underneath the skin and will keep growing like normal, it's not necessarily an ingrown hair. Signs of an ingrown hair would include: an enlarged, red, or clogged pore, hair growing underneath a the first layer of skin rather than directly out of the pore, and a coiled hair underneath the skin.

If you have ingrown hair(s), there are creams/gels for treatment of ingrown hairs that you can find at drug/beauty supply stores.
-Another thing you can do is use sharp tweezers to carefully remove the thin layer of skin from on top of the ingrown hair, once you've done that, you should be able to pluck the ingrown hair easily, afterwards, apply a little of the fragrance-free cooling aloe vera gel to calm the area. Removing the ingrown hair with tweezers should be done as soon as you notice it, otherwise the layer of skin over the hair may become too thick.

In the future, take these precautions when shaving to avoid bad reactions: Shaving: 24-48 hrs before and after you shave, don't use lotions, oils, or anything with fragrance on the area. Be sure that your razor and/or trimmer is clean of hair, oil, etc. and fairly sharp and not dull - this can cause skin irritation as well. Use a shaving cream that's formulated for sensitive skin. Immediately after shaving, use a medicated cooling aloe vera gel - usually found in the pharmacy section of stores. In the following days, gently exfoliate the area when you bathe with a loofah or washcloth. You may also want to purchase a razor burn prevention cream/gel and one for the treatment of razor burn, as well as a pair of slanted tweezers with a sharp end, for use if you still get the bumps/ingrown hairs after all of these precautions. If you notice any ingrown hairs, use the tweezers to remove the thin layer of skin that's grown over the hair, then pluck the hair - it's important that you do this as soon as you notice it, bc the skin growing over a lot of times will become thicker.

My wife's had this for years. Waxing is the only way, other than electrolysis or the like. Wax, and it takes about all the hairs out, and that top layer that is over the hairs you can see. Then just dab the leftover hairs that were under the skin, and it will pull out. On my wife, this method took 99% of them out. Only a couple had to be plucked.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

if you wax instead of shaving, the hair will be pulled out by the roots, and you won't be ablt see them. If this is not an option, use a good quality shaving cream, a triple blade razor and aftershave for legs.

Use a better razor by like venus, and use a REALLY light touch dont force the razor into your skin. Also use lofa or a sponge before you shave and use a moisturizing cream without alcohol.

1st of all, use shaving cream, the red dots are razor burn. Try using a double blade razor.
