I just love all of you who say Iran is willing to talk. It's true-Iran is willing to talk, but they have made it quite clear that all the talk will have no effect, and they plan to keep on heading for the nukes. It's another case of "if we are just nice to the big bad terrorists, maybe they won't hurt us."

And maybe you are right. Maybe this generation won't get hurt. Maybe they'll spare us. What about our kids?

Everyone was willing to appease Hitler-after all, he was willing to talk, too. And look what a f ucked up course of action THAT turned out to be. I am sorry-if history is any indication, we need to rid the world of the crazy little monkey at the helm in Iran. We need to take off the gloves & stop p ussy footing around with this guy & open up both barrels on him.

No, they will negotiate on some things. This needs to be tried first. This is not a question of being politically correct; it's actually often a winning strategy, and essential to the process of keeping allies.

BTW, we don't really know where their nuclear stuff is. Check some articles in the paper you will see. So flying in and bombing would be a fool's strategy, accomplishing nothing, taking lives, spreading hate and igniting more wars and terroristic acts

That would Play right into there hand. Iran is SUCKING @ss for world sympathy and there getting it from countries like France, Germany, China and Russia. We have two options. One Israel feels threatened and launches a strike and takes on Iran for us. 2: Iran does something Stupid that causes them to Loose the worlds sympathy. If we simply attacked it would be far worse than Iraq. I'd LOVE to Nuke them as much as you and end all this BS but, we might be better off just letting this one play out.

Typical republican that does not learn from history or past mistakes.

Obviously you know nothing about Iran.
- Iran has no history of being the aggressor in any military conflict.
- Iran is a member of the N-NPT which gives them the right to enrich unranium for energy purposes.
- Iran has NOT stated, like N.Korea has, that they intend to develop any nuclear weapons.
- Inspectors are allowed to inspect any area that is of concern in Iran because of their N-NPT membership.
- Iran has a history of being willing to have talks, once again unlike N.Korea who will cut talks off when things don't go their way.
- Iran has stated repeatedly they are willing to negotiate this. They have stated they would exchange enriching uranium for some sort of help with energy development.

Clearly this is a case where diplomacy could work based on all those facts; but once again, a republican neanderthal wants to be us to be a global bully and cause more hatred of the USA. How long do you really believe at this rate are we going to last when evenutally the entire rest of the world hates and doesn't trust us.

PS Have you ever stopped and thought about why all of a sudden the countries on Bush's axis of evil ironically start talking about nuclear...? I don't know about you but if a rich, powerful neighbor decided to declare I was on his axis of evil in the neighborhood then I watched him occupy another person's house that was on his axis of evil... well, I would be seriously considering protecting myself.

Don't forget that Bush removed the USA from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty (long range nuclear missiles) in December, 2001.

Probably. And hopefully also using inside pro-democracy Iranian groups. No sense trying to fight Hezbollah or terrorists blowing up civilians in Iraq and NOT going after the real head, which is Tehran and the mullahs. Would not only be a huge victory for the war against Islamo-Nazis, but would server to free the Iranian people.

pre-emptive action huh? Some say 9/11 was also a 'pre-emptive' action on 'their' part. you know the same old story that goes : "take out the crazies before they take us out" only in 9/11 Americans were those crazies.

Iran is willing to talk, lets hear them out FIRST. The US is stretched too thin in the ME anyways.

I love my country and will die any day of the week to protect it , but our policy of being "THE WORLD POLICE" has the whole world wanting to destroy us. Think about it, if Iran told us to stop growing peanuts or else , we would give them the "bird". so why do we expect any different attitude from them. we need to let the U.N. handle this and we can spend more time taking care of our poor and elderly.

Too bad no nuts Carter didn't take care of that threat while he was in office.

I say we bide our time. The animals are way too stupid to develop nuclear weapons. Maybe we can get them fighting with the Iraqis again.

Give them something else to focus on.

And never mind our integrity. And never mind having any conscience or morals. And never mind any of the other consequences of turning most of the rest of the world against us.
