This past summer I attended an International Reading Conference for teachers, where I was given a copy of the first Maximum Ride book for free. I read the entire thing on the train ride home, and then bought the second one as soon as it came out.
James Patterson is a great writer - first for adult mysteries, then for women's "chick books", and now for young adults, too!
(And I guess I'm a bit older than the "young adult" category now, but I still love Maximum Ride!)
