how to get out of a bad situation with a long term boyfriend ?

i do not want to get into detail but relation is almost 9 years and there is abuse verbal/emotional and physical at time

i do not know what to do as i am dependent on him not only financial but emotional and he is all i have but i know there is more to life than it

You need no excuse to get out of it. Look for shelters in your area and GO, dont look back. There are always more men out there and one will treat you right.

If there is... I suggest you both calm down. Dont' raise your voices. And start saying "let's talk!... like friends. Please don't interrupt me or get mad. Just listen and then respond politely without sarcasm. Let's understand each other, so we can work things out without huritng each other" and start telling him you feel sad when he._________, you feel lonely when he _____________, MAKE SURE you also say I know I make you feel bad when I ________ and I am sorry. I will work on it, but I need your help, your love , and your support.
This way you are both letting things out, without yelling or getting mad. You are both listening to each other, and you are both being honest with each other..
If it is hard for you, I suggest for you to play some background classical or yoga music and turn OFF all the devices (TV, cellphones, etc)
Communication and love are the solution for these things.
I do it and my boyfriend and I have imporved NOTICEABLY in our relationship. We understand each other more, and we have nurtured our relationship.

wow it doesn't really matter what u have to do to get out. just do it. you can move away...... stay with friends.....look for someone new and that will help to take your mind off of things.
