DJ's on all radio stations are just soooo up themselves - I've phoned in and bollocked one on the air(!) for playing Princes' "Purple Rain", and then yammerring pointlessly all over the outro solo.
"The whole point of "Purple Rain" IS the outro solo, it's divine, rich, inventive, delicious, and comes out as only Prince knows how - what can you POSSIBLY have to say about what personality-by-passed non-celebrity DJ colleague of yours is on what show on the evening schedule - that is more important than hearing the pure ecstasy of that genius pouring out his soul, running through his golden guitar?"
Those are pretty much the words I gave him. He went quiet, then got flustered, and promised not to do it again.
Let 'em have it, both barrels!

I am totally 100 % behind you , it must be one of the most annoying things to happen.
Some are better than others though, Virgin, & XFM (London) are pproobably the best and not annoyingly doign it, but yes if i wanted talk radio i would tune into Radio 5 !!!

Long live the POD !!!

I know, it's really annoying when you're trying to tape stuff off the radio! :P

It can be annoying, very annoying! Lincs FM in Lincolnshire is even worse! It actually cuts off songs in the middle and goes to adverts, or some idiot DJ reciting a line of the song! >:-( It's a pity because they play good music! :)

If it annoys you find a different radio station.

I believe Virgin have a policy of not talking over music.
