LORD when I was pregnant with my son I was the same way! It was soooo aweful- I truly feel for you! I couldnt seem to keep ANY FOOD down at all. Try nibbling a few ritz crackers and a little 7 up BEFORE getting out of bed each morning. And just before u go to sleep. My hubby put a mini fridge by our bed just for that for me! lol But its worth while once u hold that baby the first time! Congradulations and good luck!

I know the pain! The only thing that worked for me were almonds. Buy a bunch (make sure they are plain - no salt, not roasted), and snack on them whenever you feel like there is too much acid in your stomach.
It will be over as soon as you deliver the baby.

I feel your pain! I had sever heartburn with my first son starting around 6 months, to the point it would make me cry and I am very good with pain. And with this pregnancy it started at 5 months. My doctor suggested Tums, but they don't help and actually the large amount of calcium was making it harder for my body to absorb iron and I became anemic. Ask your doctor if they suggest anything to help. Mine also suggested keeping solid foods with solids and liquids with liquids when eating anything, eating very small but frequent meals, also nibbling on saltine crackers helped. Sipping ice cold Milk can help if you feel it "coming on" but I find it doesn't help if you don't catch it as it first starts. Other than that, I just tough it out....I was able to go through child birth with no tears or pain medication but this heartburn is worse than childbirth to me! good luck!

I know what you mean I told my doctor and they told me to get some pepcid. It didn't get rid of it completely, but eased it up so much that it didn't bother me so much. I still had to have some extra pillows under my head because some times I would still have food come back up when I would lay down. Try sleeping in a recliner and talk to your doctor.

Sleep with an extra pillow (never lay flat as it increases acid) and eat papaya-good luck, almost there :)

you can do the zantac.. tums to help calm the burn when you first feel it.. if those don't work (as they didn't for me) you can ask your doc to prescribe you nexium or prevacid.. both are safe to take during pregnancy... the sitting up to sleep garbage does not work for me or bland foods, or anything else the nurse suggested to me.... hope it gets better for ya...

I had the same problem. Water did it to me. Nothing helped, so I don't know what to tell you. If you come up with something let me know.
