i know this is a old motherboard, but its only my 2nd p.c,so what is the
fastest(clock speed)processor i can use (if i can find it) in a socket a
it currently has a 1.2ghz athlon xp processor, which runs quite well when compared to my 1st p.c(pentium 4 3.2ghz)
in fact in certain applications, its faster than the pentium 4 so a faster processor would be a bonus,i cant be bothered upgrading a motherboard that is working fine, so i have decided a faster processor is a worthwhile choice
any ideas?

You need to find the manufacture of you motherboard i think you will find sis is only the chip-set
when you know the make and model go to their web site and find out the max supported processor speed for your mobo
