I'm from Canada so not sure on the legal stuff in TX. But first thing I would do is get your name on the corporate documents showing yourself as a 50% partner or however you determine the split, until then I dont think your entitled to anything. Yikes, tough lesson. Good luck

Yes, since you were married and help start the business.I'm sure you can find some kind of bills you paid or receipts or business plans before the business got started. Do some research because there is more then one way to skin a cat. Good luck!!!!

He desires to touch a lawyer. He desires to describe his concern to the lawyer and the lawyer can record the action for custody. they'll think approximately that she has 2 different infants that she would be able of't safeguard. From what you have written- I collect that they are not married...? in the event that they are not married then she isn't his substantial different, subsequently- no spousal help might additionally be seen for her, and any relative of hers would not be taken under consideration whether that they were married. in the event that they're married she nonetheless will no longer be able to get spousal help because of the fact she has a job of her very own. newborn help will only be offered if she is offered finished or joint custody (based on your fact- her receiving custody is unlikely). if your buddy is offered custody she would have the ability to be ordered to pay him help till he would not % it.

So many questions, so little time
Do you have children together??
Did you sign a prenuptial agreement?
Do you own real estate together?
What did he do before starting the business?
Does he have a Stocks/401K/IRAs/Investments?
When you started the business did you take loans? Who applied for them?
Write down and gather everything you can think of from a financial point of view and see an attorney

texas is a comon law state thus from the day you lived togather as husband & wife even without a formal marriage you are entitled to half of all community property whether its in your husbands name, yours or both (that includes all Biz enterprizes) . spousal support is granted mostly on a temporary basis unless you are permanantley disabled & you have not been unfaithful during marriage.

I dont know Texas law, but where I live were intilted to what we own. I would take him to court, keep all your papers, make copies, hide them, sounds like hes trying to get over on you. Dont believe him, see a lawyer.
