When will I get a belly?

Question

I am a week away from being 5 months pregnant and have absolutley no belly...I have gained about 7 pounds but you cant see it...does this mean I will be small my whole pregnancy? I actually want to look pregnant...

I am not obese I am 5'6 and 125 lbs

It really depends on your body. I had 4 boys and didn't really show with any of them. When I got pregnant with my daughter, I stuck out like a sore thumb, and she was the smallest. Boys like to generally sit in your back. Girls like to sit more in front.

I'm 21 weeks when i lay down my belly is pretty round you can even feel different lumps where the baby is he moves all the time BUT, to strangers or whatever I know I don't look pregnant at all. I'm not showing really. I'm having a boy this is my 3rd pregnancy. My son is just about 1 pound now. I think by 27 weeks I'll be looking more pregnant..it happens at different times in different women and with different pregnancies. Some don't show till the last 2 months YOU will show the baby gets big the last 6-8 weeks they put on a half pound a week! Some women look 7 months at 4-5 months others look 5 months at 9 months as long as you are measuring right and the doc is not worried it's perfectly fine.

I didn't have a "real" belly until I was 7 months pregnant.

I also didn't gain much weight until my last 2 months. I had only gained 15 pounds by the time I was 8 months pregnant, but by the time I gave birth I had gained another 5. The doctors weren't worried though.

Dont be in a rush to look pregnant. I was wearing maternity clothes at 4 months. I wasn't over weight before I got preg so i didnt think i would get big ... and I wish I didn't. It's only cute on other people .. once you see how hard it is to bend over, once you break a sweat trying to turn on your computer, once you have a hard time shaving your legs ... it aint cute!! The smaller you are the better chances you'll have of being able to wear cute clothes during your pregnancy and then you'll have a good chance of losing all the weight afterwards. Do you really WANT stretch marks? =)

I had the same problem, until I hit about 5 and a half months and then I popped, well... I bumped, a little pooch, and now I'm almost seven months and finally fitting maternity clothes. It's different for everyone, and every pregnancy. This is my second, and I'm smaller at this stage now, than what I was when I was prego with my first.

Wow 5 months and not showing?!?! Because your petite your baby will be on the smaller side... But dont worry in a matter of days, your bellies gonna pop out literally over night!

I suppose this is your first pregnancy - you can start showing really late, with my first my belly started to grow in my sixth mo, I'm pregnat second time now and I've been showing since I've been 8 weeks - body, muscle memory or however it's called. Next pregnancy you'll show sooner. Congratulations though.

It usually hits people around 5-6 months, but every body is different.

Every womans body is different some show at 3months some dont show till after 6months...all depends on your pregnancy and what the sex is...dont worry you will have a belly sooon....good luck

everyone is different with my FIRST child I NEVER looked preg. With my 2ND child neither then with my 3rd baby will I didn't show really till my 6th month then I really started getting the belly from there! Yet, like I said every pregnancy and every person is different! CONGRATS!
