Any number of things can cause a miscarriage, it's not that simple. I think doctors don't like pregnant women taking ibuprofen during pregnancy because it can cause excess bleeding. Any medication can cause problems with a developing fetus, and the first trimester is when the bulk of fetal development occurs.
