my optical mouse curser has frozen. i tried everything including con+alt+del. and that ddint even work. i even tried the windows key that didnt work either. i cannot shut dowm, reboot or anything! i checked my wires and connections, i dont know what else to do!

The computer will turn off if you hold the power button for about 5 seconds. The solution may be as simple as unplugging mouse, and replugging.

If that fails, remove the mouse from the laptop. Once you reboot, I would recommend going to the manufacturer's Web site to download the latest drive for your mouse. Install the driver, plug in the mouse, reboot, et voilà! You should be good to go!

I would try uninstalling the mouse and then reinstalling it. you can use your tab key to move around the screen when your mouse isn't working, and use the windows key on your keyboard to shut down.
