You should use shaving cream. The pimples are caused by your skin being irritated. Try Neutrogena for men shaving gel, it's great! Also, always have a sharp, new razor, since with a dull one you'll have to go over the area over and over, thus irritating your skin.
Also, after the shower, immediately slap a rich moisturizer over your legs, you can almost hear your skin saying: ahhh

Actually it sounds like "folliculitis"... inflammation of the follicles.

Currently, when you're shaving, your legs may be a little dirty- sweat, salt, skin oils, dead skin cells, etc are on your skin (yeah, I know it sounds nasty, but...) Then you scrape the hair off your skin, and scrape the skin itself. This does 2 things- 1) You're scraping your skin, leaving tiny little breaks in the skin. 2) You're pushing all that nasty stuff that WAS on the surface of your skin into those tiny little breaks in your skin.

The one remedy I've found is actually a 2-part thing....

Wash your skin before you shave. This removes all that nasty stuff from your skin.

Then shave- WITH some sort of shaving cream-type product. This will soften the skin, so that it's less likely to be scraped or torn by the razor.

Hi just using water could be the problem as shaving with just water causes the razor to pull at the hairs which causes them to raise up. or you could just be allergic to shaving, could be the metal on the razor. But you must always use either soap or shave gel or mousse, you can even use the soap you wash your self with. Also moisturise afterwards. Or exfoliate whilst in the shower to get your skin smooth as it could be dry skin.

Try shaving in the bath where there's more water, that might work. I'd try shaving cream as well as that stuff shouldn't make you come out like that.

Yeah, that's the problem! Use shaving cream or gel, and exfoliate. Try a loofah or pour with Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash.

yeah...thas a problem...u have to use something as a buffer between the blade and ur skin. u are damaging ur skin with every slice of the razor. if u dont have shaving cream u can use conditioner, soap/shampoo, or lotion. please use something so u dont end up with scarred up legs. wash first and shave last. the warm water will soften the hair and remove the dirt that might end up cloggin ur pores. ♥

Shaving without soap will lead to more skin irritation than if you do use soap. But if you go to the drug store, they sell products like No Bump RX that you put on your legs that will prevent pimples from forming. So if you use soap and that, you should be fine.

Those aren't pimples, that's razor burn - it could also be ingrown hairs due to irritation.

You definitely need to use shaving cream - you are irritating your skin without it! Your skin needs moisture moisture moisture!

Also, if you shave your bikini line, it is even more prone to irritation. There are special products out there to shave that area - look for them and be nice to yourself! :)

Shave with hair conditioner. It works great on the bikini area too. There will be no pimples left behind.
