Its all comes down to what it takes for a person to love themselves. To often, espacially for men, it is hard to except that having a relationship like that doesn't mean that you have to have sex inorder for you guys to acully love each other. Its hard to thou because that is the next nature step in the relationship. I've had plenty of female firends and it always comes to a point were intimacy of some kind most be shown and understood to be the physical way of showing love. This doesn't have to be sex but that is all we know of it. Good example is when good male firends get together and ruff-house. It takes trust in someone to know that when they have control of your buddy there not going to hurt you and if you don't believe this its hard for relationships to go much father eather as firends or lovers. This brings up conflicting feelings that you have to accept and talk about the best way to handle it, a relationship is a relationship no matter how you define it. Its up to you to to find the same defination.

my best friend is a man. we have been best friends for the past 4 years. we both have had significant others through-out our friendship and although it was difficult for them to accept at first, they soon realized that we are just friends. there are no sparks, just genuine care and concern for the other. Most people, men and women alike are too jealous to accept this type of situation. we all need to look inside ourselves and see why we are so afraid of someone we are intimate with being a friend to the opposite sex. we need to learn to value ourselves more and things like this would not be a big deal for us.

That seems to be the law of nature, it has nothing to do with what we do, really. So, if you do try to be friends with a guy, make it someone from a distance. This way temptation won't be a factor to change the friendship, atleast not too quickly, unless one of you move.

Men can be friends with a woman, and believe it or not look at them as a friend, and not a sex object. you just picked the wrong friend. I have a friend, that is just that. a friend and shes a woman.
